Established Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) firm seeking experienced commission-based executive sales team to develop new business.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Managing Director, the Executive Sales Associate is the main sales contact and coordinates all activities up to and including contract execution within geographic territory. The Sales Associate is responsible for the following key sales activities: prospecting activities, territory management (including pipeline maintenance and territory analysis), initiating and maintaining prospect relationships, presentations,and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of competitors.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Works as a team with the team to meet quarterly and annual sales objectives. 2. Proactively analyzes, identifies, and qualifies opportunities. 3. Supports the sales activity including participation in regional seminars, and demonstrations for prospective clients. 4. Gathers and builds upon account information to leverage sales, generate additional sales, and improve upon the business relationship. 5. Assists management in developing approaches to address account challenges and opportunities. Involves management to review key situations. 6. Confers with customers and company officials to resolve complaints. 7. Reviews opportunities for ideas to expand services available to present customers. 8. Calls on prospects to explain M&A process, features of service and fee structure. 9. Submits verbal and written reports as requested covering sales forecasts; competitor activity and products; potential customer product, service and system needs; and economic climate of territory. 10. Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps detailed expense reports. 11. Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into our CRM/computer database.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. BA/BS degree and a minimum of 4 years selling experience or equivalent. 2. An interest in working in a dynamic and rapidly changing/growing environment independently and as a team. 3. Self-motivated with a strong competitive sales drive and a commitment to excel. 4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to articulate complex issues in a concise and polished manner to all levels of a diverse audience. 5. Ability to listen to the customer and appropriately match the customer's needs and desires with our services or outside services. 6. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple business and customer demands while responding quickly, accurately, and professionally. 7. Possess a sense of urgency with complete follow-through. 8. Skill in planning, organizing, and managing time across multiple tasks. 9. Ability to maintain and manage own schedule. 10. Travel - This position involves extensive travel.
