“Jim was hired by VasTech to strategically align and engineer our business for potential growth and/or an exit strategy. As it turned out, Jim found a few key players in the healthcare industry that were interested in acquiring VasTech and, within six months, VasTech was acquired by Lawson Software. While these are the facts, this does not tell the real story behind Jim Brennan. Jim came on board in 2007 on a six month contract and was greeted with skepticism and questions about how he would streamline our sales process, and introduce VasTech as a potential acquisition candidate without hanging a "for sale" sign on the company in only a few months time. (The last thing we wanted our competitors to know is that we might be selling our business as this could have been used against us in the sales process.) Well, Jim did it all. With his connections in the healthcare industry, experience in the M&A process, positive, personal, and professional approach, Jim coached us through an exciting, stressful, and
exhilarating acquisition. Although
those six months were very hectic and passed by quickly, Jim always seemed in control and at ease even when negotiations were tough. During his time here at VasTech, Jim took the time to learn about the ins and outs of VasTech, our industry, clients, partners, products, and competitors. He spent countless hours getting to know VasTech and in the end, it all came together seamlessly as he guided us and led us through the entire M&A process.
